1) Bodh Gaya
Bodh Gaya is an ancient town in the state of Bihar where it is believed that Lord Buddha attained enlightenment and learned the secrets of life under a Bodhi tree. Now, a beautiful and spiritual Maha Bodhi Temple Complex is built around the place where Lord Buddha later preached the learnings to some of his disciples. Inside the temple, you can visit the famous Bodhi tree where Lord Buddha meditated. You can also pay homage to the large Buddha statue stationed at the center of this complex.
Sarnath is a beautiful Buddha Stupa in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon to a handful of his disciple. 1) Boudhanath Stupa
The unique white dome with a golden peak, Boudhanath Stupa is the most famous and spiritualistic Buddhist temple outside of Tibet. Pilgrims come in large number to this Stupa in order to pay their heartful homage to the statue of Lord Buddha and often take rounds around the temple as it is a very auspicious ritual of Buddhist culture. The temple is believed to be built around the 14th century but it has been remodeled many times and is one of the biggest Stupas in the world.
